Looking Back, Moving Forward
In 1976, leaders in the AME Church recognized the need for us to have our own Credit Union. They recognized that having our own credit union - handling our own money - would benefit the overall membership. This led to the birth of the Florida Conference African Methodist Episcopal Church (FCAMEC) Federal Credit Union; an institution charged with the responsibility of servicing the financial needs of the northwest Florida AME Church community.
We have come a long way from the organization that our original visionaries formed over three decades ago. They believed that by pooling our resources and lending power in a not-for-profit credit union, we would all be better off. Clearly they were right. Our collective dollar is a lot more powerful than our individual money. By putting our money in a credit union that we control, we decide our own destiny
The President and the Board of Directors of the Florida Conference African Methodist Episcopal Church Federal Credit Union, are committed to developing a Credit Union that offers a wide range of financial services to our community; thereby ensuring that you - our members - have access to current products & services. We look forward to working with you to bring about change and financial stability in our community.
We cannot change our destiny, unless we are in control of our own assets.
